Evides Water Company

Evides Water Company supplies safe, clean and tasty drinking water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to 2.5 million customers and businesses in Zeeland, the southwest of South Holland and the Brabantse Wal region. They also offer tailor-made industrial water services to large industrial customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, among others. Evides Water Company is owned by public shareholders (municipalities and province).

Working together in the water chain

‍Evides: ‘We are convinced that we achieve more together than alone. That is why we strive to cooperate with organizations in the water chain. We connect, share knowledge and coordinate activities wherever possible. We do this on the basis of various themes and with numerous organizations.’

Digital trip recording system

‍In Evides, there was not yet a digital trip registration system to comply with tax obligations. In 2010 we started installing a black box in all our company cars. At that time, this was still done with Micpoint’s OTS software. When the development and support of OTS stopped, we switched to MyFMS in 2014. This had the advantage, that the hardware did not have to be modified. In addition, a pleasant cooperation/relationship developed. MyFMS can be accessed via the Internet, which we consider a great advantage. No more software is needed on local PCs, as was still the case with OTS.’‍

Optimization of planning

‍In the infra branch, the data from the black box is used to be able to identify the nearest mechanic in the event of a calamity and send them to the location in question, in order to be able to resolve the calamity quickly. In addition, this data is also used to optimize the planning of these mechanics. For pre-trip registration, the employee uses his company card via a card reader, which is linked to the hardware in the car. This is important because part of the fleet involves pool cars, which are used by different employees. ‍

New employees

‍A new step is bringing up new employees. An import is now done monthly from our pass system. The latest coupling of MyFMS with AzureAD (Office 365) allows us to make this automatic. Employees that are brought up within Evides are immediately automatically included in MyFMS.’
